Glitch In The Matrix or Optical Illusion? The Mystery Of The Hovering Plane

A video from 2018 of a plane seemingly hovering in mid air above DFW airport near Dallas is causing a stir online with many others coming out to say they too have witnessed similar phenomenon.

The video posted by Savage Mister may be a spectacular example of Motion Parallax, an optical illusion where a moving object appears to be stationary, but many youtube users have witnessed similar incidents and have their own theories. Jeff Dean wrote:

“I’ve seen the same thing in SF a few months ago. The plane was coming in at a strange trajectory and then just stopped and hovered. We were very close and not driving fast, plus the plane was silent. It still gives me chills thinking about it.”

Another user commented:

“Glitch in the matrix”

We have watched the video a number of times now and still don’t know what to make of it. Of course, we understand by their very nature optical illusions can completely shatter your perception of reality, but something still doesn’t seem to sit right.
